Morphine Lollipop is a Syrian/Armenian artist from Belgium. Raised in Antwerp by immigrant parents, Morphiine came to Belgium as a little kid with a big dream in a big city. She fell in love with music at a very young age. Surrounded by instruments at home, she found her own voice at the age of 3, when she started performing for her audience of teddybears on the floor. Fascinated by jazz and hip hop, she immersed herself in all kinds of music, but chose to study classical piano at the age of 8, when her mother enrolled her in the music academy. She ended up re-enrolling there for 15 years. Even though she had the ambition to study classical piano and opera at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, she decided to study Literature and Linguistics at the University of Antwerp instead, where she got her Master's degree with great distinction. Her love for books supplied her with an ample vocabulary in several languages, including English and Spanish in which she wrote her Master's thesis. Today, her two passions work together as she elegantly combines her love for words and harmony into refreshing and innovative songs in which she explores the hardships she went through as an immigrant and her die hard resilience that helped her survive and made her into who she is today. With eight languages at her disposal, a thorough knowledge of music theory and a life experience worth at least 3 lifetimes, she is intent on making music to touch as many souls as possible.
