Josephine

Dreamer who makes dark pop music with too much reverb in the middle of the night about things that haunt her

Bio

Josephine is a promising singer songwriter who started out by playing the piano at the age of 9 and singing classes at the age of 13. Writing music always felt like something impossible but that idea faded soon when she started experimenting with Garageband on her laptop at the age of 14 which later turned into something much bigger. At 15 she wrote her first ever song and she just never stopped.

Songwriting is everything. Performing the songs live almost feels like a bonus, because writing music and getting it to come to life in the studio according to her vision is the most fulfilling and special feeling she has ever felt.

Inspired by Isabel LaRosa, Ethel Cain and Lana Del Rey she started exploring the dark pop genre which is the main style she is writing in right now. It's the dreamy synths, deep bass, distorted guitars and vocals with too much reverb that create the most insane songs.

After losing her mind at 16 because of a scarring experience in her senior year in high school, she wrote tons of songs about that specific situation which now leads to the release of her first EP. The 8 songs are being mixed and mastered at this exact moment and are almost ready to see daylight.

She is now already working hard on her next project because writing and creating never stops. Everything that's been written for this project yet might just be the favourite music she has ever made.
