Jazz musicians Maël and Rutger met in April 2022. However, when they played together for the first time it seemed as if they had known each other for years. They never know in advance where they will end up and by which means. These two young friends search each other in their music and by doing so, find the ultimate freedom.

In this quartet, they are joined on their trip by Toon Rumen on bass and the Brazilian/Portugese drummer Gabriel Moraes.

One of their first accomplishments in their joint musical adventure was their trip to Berlin, where they played for the major in different clubs and in the support act of the internationally renowned trumpet player Bert Joris.

In July 2023 they won the Dinant Jazz Contest. In the wake of this, they opened the festival 2024. After this, they toured the Belgian club circuit (Jazzzolder, Leuven Jazz, JAZZMADD, …). But their ambitions are boundless: with the tradition in their hearts and a longing for innovation in their stomachs, they are driven to reach an international audience.

The next milestone in their journey was in the end of 2024, when they played a concert in the legendary jazz city New York, together with their heroes Kenny Werner and Grégoire Maret.
