M A C LISTER (Sébastien MBALA in civil status) was born and grown up in Cameroon.

He’s been living in Brussels for 10 years now. His older brother who lived in Brussels in the 80’s inspired him through the difficulties he faced in his life . When his brother came back to Cameroon, he brought with him this ardent passion of hip hop and initiated him to this field. It was a true blessing for him, especially after the death of his parents and the pain that event left behind. It helped him to become stronger, to keep him out of trouble and away from drugs and delinquency.

ABOUT HIS MUSIC

His music is a clever mixture of different musical styles,a true journey, with a big focus on Hip Hop. It’s a mixture of rap, trap, soul, rnb, afropop, dancehall...

But truly, he doesn’t like to label his music, cause he loves breaking the musical codes and the social stereostypes. His great inspirations are Kendrick Lamar, Ace Hood, Meek Mill, Sally Nyolo, STROMAE, The Colour Grey, Darell Cole, Akon, Cesaria, Brenda Fasi, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Patrick Lumumba, Sakodie… He’s a pure local artistic product from Brussels, a talent to watch closely.
