We are GroundPlay. A musical group of friends exploring sounds and possibilities in an unconventional lineup, spontaneously altering compositions to the moment. We aim to make the music accessible in a playful and unpredictable way, exploring new sounds mixing the future and the past with a strong influence from the greats: Paul Motion, Jakob Bro, and Wayne Shorter

In these digital times there is nothing more beautiful than to really share a moment with people. The real goal of music is to bring the audience along into a realm of honest connection.

The collective made a remarkable debut at “het Fundament” in Antwerp, selling out the venue and immediately capturing the audience’s attention with an intense and sophisticated performance. Since then, our concert activity has expanded with a series of high-profile performances across the Netherlands and Belgium, including shows at the foyer of Doelen—featuring renowned bassist Stefan Lievestro—and the Tribute to Paul Motian at the prestigious Music Village in Brussels.

With a distinctive sound and a deep sense of musical connection, each performance becomes an immersive experience, engaging the audience on both an emotional and artistic level.​
