Ex-shrink on the brink: meet Jo Matba. Hedonistic and brainy, he's a DJ and producer of dark and acid techno, passionate and addicted to music. Born and raised in the Catalan Pyrenees, he spent his early raving years in free parties lost in the mountains. Submerged in the vibe of the 2000 - 2010’s techno and the electro scene, he discovered his great early influences: Miss Kittin, Jeff Mills, Vitalic, Daft Punk, Umek, Chris Lebing, Carl Cox, Ben Clock, Dave Clark and many other artists filled his youth with electronic sounds. He studied psychology in Barcelona and in 2011 he moved to Brussels to study and immerse himself in Gestalt Philosophy, a way of life. After many years working as Gestalt therapist, his beating Barcelonian heart drove him back to the warmth of techno, and we can feel his blood pumping through his dark, hard and acid mixes. His warmth makes the darkest beat a thing of joy. His love and passion for techno music takes center stage, and i's gonna make us all pulse.
