Izzy Nu
Brussels-based indie pop artist from south Spain, blending vintage sound, soulful writing and 80s nostalgia into an emotionally honest musical world shaped by conscious optimism.
Bio
IZZY NU is a Brussels-based indie pop artist born and raised in the south of Spain. Blending vintage-inspired textures with indie pop, soul, and subtle influences from 80s classics, her music carries a warm and romantic vision of life rooted in emotional honesty and conscious optimism.
Inspired by artists such as Alice Phoebe Lou, Men I Trust, Sade, Phoebe Bridgers, IZZY NU creates music that feels both nostalgic and refreshing. A gentle but intentional response to the heaviness and cynicism of modern life.
Currently resident at VOLTA in Brussels and part of the publishing roster of Durbuy Music, she is now developing her upcoming EP As An Instrument, set for release in 2027. Conceived almost as a personal research question, the project explores voice, emotion and sensitivity as instruments of expression. Written after a long creative silence following a deeply transformative experience, the EP marks a return to songwriting through celebration rather than heaviness. Reclaiming expression, movement and emotional freedom through her voice, her instrument.
With demos completed, production beginning in June and a full-band live residency planned for summer 2026, the project is entering its first major live and showcase phase.
