Ian Kelmer [solo] and Tropical Beatroot [band] started his career in Salvador, Bahia. One of the most influential cultural hubs of Brazil, land of the early origins of Samba, but also Bossa Nova and Samba Reggae. Full of Afrobrazilian influence, Salvador guided Ian Kelmer to his musical projects around the world. He set up Tropical Beatroot in France, playing in different venues and Festivals in the French Riviera from 2019 to 2023. He also founded a Forró group during his season in Sydney, Australia. With great acceptance of the public, Forrokoala introduced another level of self-promotion and performance in the Brazilian musical scene of Australia. In Brussels, Ian Kelmer and Tropical Beatroot are back, with a powerful trio formation, Ian Kelmer [guitar/vocal], Pavlo Cherniavskyi [ bass ] and Antonio Galan [ drums / percussion ], presenting a remake of Brazilian and Latin American classics to the Belgian community.
