Heavy J. started buying records when he was 13 years old. At the age of 15, he already played in local cafés and smaller clubs. At that time, he also played on a regular basis as a warm-up DJ on big parties… During his high days, he played on a regular basis as a guest-DJ in Café d’Anvers (B), De Rechter (NL) and the famous Fuse Club (B). After a few years break, he decided to start with his first love again and had the chance to play at the cosy Moonfield festival in his hometown Mol. During his career, he joined the most respected house DJ’s of Belgium and beyond: Jef K., Llorca, Geoffroy Mugwump, San Proper, Ivan Smagghe, Sasse, Ewan Pearson, Koenie… Heavy J.’s DJ-sets are a mixture of spaced-out deep-house and smooth tech-house.
