Between touring throughout Europe and the USA with renowned artists

like Tamino, Beirut and Meskerem Mees, recording for tastemakers

including Elias Rønnenfelt, Grian Chatten or Loverman and co-writing

for Tamino and Sailorr, Belgian cellist-producer Frederik Daelemans has

been quietly crafting his most personal and honest music to date.

Drawing on the cello’s dynamism and rich sonic character, Frederik uses

his signature picking technique, running the instrument through effect

pedals as his airy voice drifts on top. His music is intimate and powerful,

balancing warmth and fragility, echoing the experimental spirit of Arthur

Russell’s 1980s cello recordings.

Replica, Daelemans’ debut EP is a five-song reflection on time passing,

parental relations, love and finding ease coloured by experiences living

in big cities like London and Paris and will be released in the fall of 2026.
