Initiator & booker for Overlap.crew. Accompanied by Buumi & Supreme Identity, Faetish is on a mission to shape a community around the niche genres which are, in their opinion, too rarely programmed in Belgium. They do this by hosting events in cities where the genres they love are missing during clubnights. Leuven is up first. They also host a monthly radioshow on Black Teeth Radio where they offer the stage to other local talent, no matter what genre they play, as long as they have a bold and eclectic taste in music.

2025 will be the year where Overlap will also start with a free download series, putting out own productions from the crew members. Another way to showcase their sound and give back to the scene they so dearly love.

Faetish has a kink, you could say, for edgy soundscapes. There’s something about the mixture of, let’s say, a broken beat supplemented with a growling bassline, a snappy snare & an intriguing vocal sample. It’s these rare combinations of unique elements that the 25y old selector constantly searches for, in musical archives old & new. Always on the lookout for the most gutsy tracks. Faetish propagates a sincere feeling of respect towards the producers out there who dare to challenge the status quo.

For him, the real art form behind deejaying is challenging yourself as a selector, to create eccentric highs & intimate lows by fusing elements from all corners of the spectrum. And like this… pave the way for an ever-surprising musical journey. To make this more tangible, Faetish’ sets can often be expected as a fusion of breaks, electro, dubstep, bass, ukg, jungle, techno & drum’n’bass. All while leaning towards a sensual, naughty, groovy, seductive or even sinister undertone.
