Born and raised in the Complexo do Pecado part of the Baixada Fluminense (São Gonçalo, RJ), FILAIPE is a DJ, producer and multi-artist whose love for music developed early.

Growing up in conditions that did not encourage artistic exploration, FILAIPE has naturally remained connected and present in local underground scenes, from Rio's funk and hiphop bailes to grime MC battles and queer punk scene in São Gonçalo.

Another essential part of his experience and culture are Afro-Brazilian and diasporic rhythms of Candomblé Bantu, fundamental in his personal development, which today becomes a topic of exploration in his musical curation, research and production.

After moving to Europe (Marburg, Germany) as a scholarship student in 2021, his intuition and artistic calling spoke louder and FILAIPE decided to share his sonority with a lot of sensitivity, personality and noise, which quickly gained the attention of organizers and audiences in small German cities. This culminated in the production of the first Baile Funk in the history of cities such as Marburg and Gießen, conceived, organized and mixed by the artist.

With the popularity of his events, FILAIPE began to dedicate himself full-time to music and culture in 2024, when he was invited to play and produce events in cities such as Berlin, London, Paris and Brussels, where he had the opportunity to work with local artists and experience international communities of Caribbean, South African and English sound systems, which also contributed to his musical styles. In Brussels, FILAIPE becomes known as the name of Brazilian peripheral electronic music, establishing himself as an integral part of the underground scene and creating connections with the queer rave and ballroom communities in the city, where he finally decided to move (2025).

This unique mix of experiences and influences means that his sound and mix have in their DNA originality, irresistible energy and rhythm, spontaneity and LOTS of bass.
