Few people are such an integral part of the morc-history like Steve Marreyt – he appeared on a morc compilation with one of his first bands in 2000, then made his solo debut here with a couple of John Merrick Band releases. Later on, JMB morphed into Edgar Wappenhalter, of whom we are now putting out his third lp. And he did some vocals and bass-guitarparts on a couple of releases by Annelies Monseré, with whom he started Luster, a band he recently re-joined after a hiatus of many years.

Outside of the morc-realm, he’s probably best known for as the co-founder of Silvester Anfang and the Funeral Folk-movement, and being the kraak-labelboss for a few years as well. So, with a resume like this, it’s not surprising that Steve is not constantly putting out new releases anymore – he really has nothing left to prove. Just the mere fact that he decides it’s time to put out a new lp, should be reason enough to get ready to give it a listen: the man delivers. Again.
