Bio

Clément Kasili is a 24-year-old Brussels-based artist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with a distinctive musical universe shaped by a lifelong dedication to creation and expression. His work is rooted in storytelling, where each project is conceived as a story in its own right. Drawing from moments of life, he composes music that captures precise images, emotions, and memories, forming a discography that acts as a living “library of memories” for both himself and his listeners. Beyond sound, his music is driven by a constant need for meaning, carrying messages rooted in lived reality and honest emotion.

His musical journey began at a very young age with percussion, followed by guitar at seven. He developed his path through diverse experiences including concerts, tours, studio work, musical theatre, and international exchanges. As a solo artist, he launched his project with the EP Partir Pour Rester in June 2024, entirely produced independently and composed around the classical guitar, his first instrument and the guiding thread of his travels and encounters. Each piece unfolds as a musical postcard, inspired by specific moments and places experienced abroad, blending minimalist guitar writing with a broader emotional landscape. The sunflower, featured on the cover of the EP, holds a central symbolic role: it represents light, hope, warmth, vitality, and optimism, while also embodying the idea of movement and orientation toward something greater, much like the journey suggested by the project itself.

From the outset, the EP was designed as a fully arranged sonic universe, featuring drums, percussion, trumpet, bass, a string trio (violins and cello), and a full choir. Each musician plays an integral role in bringing the narrative to life and shaping its emotional depth.

Rooted in the Brussels scene as a guitarist, pianist, and bassist, he has since collaborated with a wide range of artists in Belgium, France, and internationally. Since 2024, his work has expanded through releases such as the single “Rouge” and through contributions as a composer, arranger, musician, and musical director across genres including jazz, rap, pop, R&B, folk, and rock for others artists.

This artistic universe extends naturally to the stage, where Clément is surrounded by a close-knit group of musicians who are an integral part of both his live performances and studio work : Gaspard Loncke on drums, Merveil Mukadi (aka Memu) and Nathan Bruel on bass, Gaspard Mathelin on trumpet, Kenza De Nolf (aka DG2FX) on saxophone and DJ, Lúcia Pires on flute, and Bastien Fourmy on percussion, forming a consistent extension of his musical vision.

In April 2025, invited by the Brussels collective Sussol for its “Secret Session” concept, Clément Kasili performed an intimate, one-shot live session with his band at the iconic Archiduc jazz club in Brussels, a performance revealed only on the day itself, where spontaneity and emotion meet in real time. The full session is now available on YouTube.
