My musical background is influenced by Buddhist music, Korean traditional music, and Western classical music, among others. Growing up in a family of painters and writers, I often use storytelling and imagery in my performances and compositions.

Because I had never been exposed to jazz, I continued to study jazz with an audience similar to mine in mind. Moreover, I aspire for my music to provide listeners with ample space for personal interpretation and reflection, allowing them to reinterpret and reflect on their own experiences. That's why I most prefer collaborating with artists from various fields who can stimulate all of my senses.

I enjoy discovering diverse sounds that can be found in acoustic instruments. For example, I explore techniques like a prepared piano and connecting electronic devices to acoustic pianos, blending organic methods with surreal electronic elements to add layers of emotion and expression to my music. This is also a personal effort to express the complexities of human life, which cannot be easily explained in a single way. Moreover, it is my philosophy to foster deeper connections and empathy through my work.

I graduated from a music college in Korea long ago, but due to depression, I took a 6- 7-year break from music. In 2016, I resumed my musical journey by completing a bachelor's degree in Maastricht, Netherlands. Through what seemed like fate, I came to Brussels and graduated with a master's in jazz piano at KCB. Starting in September 2024, I began studying jazz composition to delve into film music.
