Whereas many of them revolve around receiving and taking, this particular CARGO CULT is entirely about giving and sharing. Nothing too highfaluting – it’s in the little things, really. A guitar lick smothered in reverb here, a nearly-but-not-quite out-of-key bass note there and some analogue synth sounds to spice things up. The first parcel of indie rock songs, venturous instrumentals and eerie soundscapes just left the rehearsal room, with no barter in the band’s mind. That’s just CARGO CULT being the nice thing it is.
