Half asleep in the backseat of the car. A ten year old boy falls in love with Simon & Garfunkel and learns all lyrics by heart. During childhood, Marijn absorbs all kinds of music and learns to play bass guitar and saxophone.

Marijn writes all songs and records an EP with the popband Tiramisu. They play shows for seven years, including Polé Polé at the Gentse Feesten.

As a writer, he releases a collection of short stories and poems inspired by myths and taoist philosophy.

Now he is active with CP Merlin, an indiefolk project where years of experience of songwriting and poetry come together.

Marijn lives, works and performs in Ghent.
