Wouter Bongaerts, born in 1977 in Genk (Belgium). He started with music when he was 6 years old. At the age of 8, he participated in the children's singing competition "Zecchino d 'oro in Bologna (Italy). After completing his secondary studies, he went to study at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven (B) and the Maastricht Conservatory (NL). including lessons from Andreja van Schaick, Paul Steegmans, Alan Weiss, Ton Vennix, Han Berghs .... In addition to giving piano lessons, he was active as keyboardist / pianist in various bands and became more and more passionate about minimal music and He focused on composing music, wrote music for various art projects and is now working on the music for his own project "Nati sotto Saturno". Because of his fascination for minimal and impressionist music, he started looking for his music at composers such as Simeon ten Holt, Claude Debussy, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Michael Nymann, Ludovico Einaudi, Wim Mertens ... He teaches at Fioretti College in Veghel and is also a programmer of jazz concerts for the Cultuurcafé "de Afzakkerij" in Veghel, NL. In September 2017 he started the master's degree, Master in Music - Educational track at the Maastricht conservatory. His research aims at scrutinizing and reforming music education in secondary education.
