Baby Blue is created by Coco Candido (She, 1992) and Billie Buhck (They, 1998). Two queer people.

Coco is a multidisciplinary artist born in London and based in Brussels. Through her music, she aims to bring voices from the global majority, queer communities, and motherhood to the stage—making the undervalued valued. Her sets are built around her dance performances and moving meditation workshops, which have been presented at FOMU Antwerp (2023), Horst Arts & Music Festival (2023, 2024), Qommunity Festival (2023), Paradise City (2024), and many more.

Billie is a professionally trained musician and producer. After graduating, they started their band Solvay, for which toured internationally. In Baby Blue, occasionally other artists join to share they voice and sound, such as Deborah X , a Surinamese Rotterdam-based DJ, host of online radio show Crispy Frequencies and co-founder of DJ collective AMPFEMININE. We also collect voices of Francine Padonou, a Benin-born, Brussels-based PhD researcher, translating science language to a broader audience. All participants are mothers, predominantly from the global majority. We are driven by love, and the believe to make the world a better place through fun, through play, through sex, through life.

With Baby Blue, Coco and Billie seek to bring more magic into the world, creating a parallel universe where too much is never too much, and mediocrity doesn’t exist.
