arto is a DJ and music selector from Leuven, exploring the warm undercurrent of house, minimal and deep tech. His sets are built around groove, tension and flow—carefully shaped journeys where vinyl, intuition and storytelling come together on the dancefloor.

But for arto, DJing is about more than selecting records.

Growing up, music was always there. From dance classes and playing instruments at a young age to later discovering DJing, creativity became his natural language. Today, his restless and curious mind can disappear for hours into digging records, crafting mixes and searching for sounds that evoke emotion and connection.

In a scene that often feels fragmented and driven by trends, arto believes DJs, producers, promotors & all people involved in the music industry, have a responsibility: to understand where the music comes from and what it was originally meant to do. House music was born from communities—spaces of freedom, expression and togetherness. That spirit remains at the core of everything he does.

His sound is rooted in the contemporary European underground scene while paying respect to the pioneers who shaped it. Warm basslines, hypnotic grooves, playful textures and unexpected turns create sets that invite people not only to dance, but to connect—with the music, with each other and with themselves.

Since 2023, arto has been deeply immersed in vinyl digging, treating records as instruments rather than objects. His collection ranges from forgotten gems to timeless cuts, always leaving room for surprise and underground nuances. Inspired by artists such as Locklead, Janeret, Traumer and Ricardo Villalobos, he continuously shapes his own distinct flow.

In Leuven, he holds a residency at Café Apéro, a place that preserves a pure disco, house and underground spirit. Beyond DJing, he was part of Nacht, where music, light and scenography merged into immersive experiences. After its final chapter in 2025, he co-founded Lost People Collective—a project centred around sound, connection and disconnecting from digital noise.
