Born to Rwandan parents and raised in a strict religious household, the Belgian singer learned early on that the world loved labels. Labels for faith, for love, for masculinity. But AMERY never fit the mold. Where others saw strength in silence, he found power in feeling. Music became his sanctuary, a place where he didn’t have to shrink himself to belong.
