Formed by Thomas Francot (ex-Mantis) and Gert Stockmans (Samatha) based on a shared passion for atmospheric guitar melodies, A Place In Between seamlessly blends post-rock and shoegaze elements with hints of post-metal.

Since 2019 this project has released three self-recorded singles. During the last two years debut album “Wander Into Bliss” was written. Drums were recorded by Ruben Vandael (ex-Mantis) under the guidance of Chiaran Verheyden, who also handled the mixing and mastering. Eline Banken, Sam Coussens (Pothamus) and Stefan De Graef (Psychonaut) provided vocals for different songs. The input of these passionate people gave each of these tracks a unique character.

With a sound that’s both introspective and immersive, “Wander Into Bliss” is an exploration of the emotional landscape we navigate.

In 2025 we are rehearsing for our first liveshow as a 6-piece: Gert Stockmans (guitar), Thomas Francot (ex-Mantis, guitar), Thomas Berger (ex-Mantis, synths), Roy Kramer (guitar), Ruben Vandael (ex-Mantis, drums) and Josse Theunkes (ex-Sons of a wanted man, bass & vocals).
