... I'm on Pursuit (of Happiness!)

A*'MERICAN DREAM is the hybrid solo project of Belgian artist, songwriter, poet and music producer Andy Vilters.

Currently building my first full solo live set!

The featured tracks are AI-assisted concept demos (except 4 _MIXTAPE VERSION), intended to be stripped back and rebuilt live with my own Ableton productions, Stratocaster, Orange amp and vocals. 🎤 🎸 💻

Blending pop-punk, alternative pop, electronic beats, satire and emotionally driven songwriting, A*'MERICAN DREAM explores rebellion, nostalgia, identity, chaos and the never-ending pursuit of happiness.

Punk rocker at heart.

As a founding member of Exit On The Left (2003–2010), my roots are firmly planted in punk rock.

My music always starts with my own input: concepts, beats, lyrics, melodies, emotions and ideas, drawn from a personal creative vault built over more than a decade.

AI enters somewhere in the middle of my creative process, never as the starting point or final destination. I use AI-assisted mixing, mastering and creative experimentation, with plenty of Ableton Live remixing between input and output.

Everything gets chopped, altered, rearranged, broken, rebuilt and remixed until it serves the song, the lyrics and my inner gut feeling.

These are concept demos. They represent a direction, not a finished product.

& they'll always remain demos, because the real goal is to translate them into something raw, personal & alive on stage.

With 50+ demos, many nearing the end of preproduction, I'm ready to turn years of studio experimentation into final recordings and live performances.

After my first instrumental solo performance at Lokale Helden 2018 (JC De Klinker, second place), I earned my music and sound production diploma and continued developing my songs, lyrics and sound.

Now it's time to take that universe out of the computer and onto the stage!

Eventually, I'd love to expand with fellow musicians, but for now, it's me, my music and a solo live setup.

I'm also developing my debut mixtape, Pursuit of Happiness, bringing together years of songwriting, experimentation and personal storytelling.

Old-school punk spirit, new-school creative tools. I believe in experimentation, staying open-minded and following the song wherever it needs to go. But at the heart of everything is something deeply personal: my music, my experiences and my story.

I'm not chasing perfection. I'm chasing connection, expression and something real.

Old roots. New tools. Same rebellious soul.

Punk in spirit. Poet at heart. Producer by instinct.

Rebel & Bipolar in the membrane ... 🧠⚡

Grateful to share a little piece of my creative universe with you. Hope y'all dig the demos and enjoy the ride! ;)

Peace out! ✌️
