VI.BE

Partner is a collaborative project between Femke Fredrix and James de Graef. Although both of them originate from Leuven, they only found each other during their studies at KASK, Ghent, studying, respectively, Autonomous Design and Music Production as well as Pop Piano.

Brought together by a keen interest for the ever evolving marriage between electronic music and visual arts, they decided to combine their strengths to realize a shared vision.

The eclectic synthesis that their sound entails is the result of the project's underlying concept and reaches it's expression through programmed beats, field recordings and various musical instruments. The imagery and music enter into dialogue, thus together enhancing the concept as a whole.

Providing the perfect backdrop for spastic movement and inducing strong emotions towards kittens.
