Tom Kristiaan began music lessons at the age of 9. He always dreamed of playing the piano. He started his classical music education at the Bruges Conservatorium (1984-1992), and later in conservatoriums in Antwerp, Ostend, Courtrai and Bruges (2012-2021). Read full bio here.

He turned his hand to composition and developed his signature style of neoclassical, dreamy melodies, always steeped in a deep sense of melancholy.

Several tracks from his first album "In Deep Woods" (2019) have been used as film music on Belgian TV. In 2020 the EP "Tom's Gymnopédies" followed, a personal interpretation of Erik Satie’s famous Trois Gymnopédies, and in 2021 "Glance of You". In 2022 he released "Petites danses et reveries", a collection of warm, intimate compositions inspired by the world of dance. The album reached more than 25 million streams on Spotify in more than 180 countries, the song "Un sourire et une larme" was selected as "Lekkere track" of NPO4 and in 2023 the album was nominated for the prestigeous Edison Classics Awards (Publieksprijs).

In September 2023 his fourth album "Inspired by Nature" will be released. Tom Kristiaan let him inspire by the nature photography of Wouter Pattyn and his book "Wild of Europe". For each episode, he composed a song catching the mood and he combined them in a 12-track album.
