In April 2016, guitarist & singer Dominique De Ruyter and drummer Arne Stroobant gave birth to the musical foal Stoned Pony.

The two decided to start up this new project in order to let their imagination and creativity run wild, which is why a multitude of influences and genres (rock, metal, pop, hip hop, etc.) can be found in their songs.

In September 2018, after running low on energy and a certain lack of motivation, the band was joined by bass player Jasper Doom and 'keysman' Janus Delrue who gave the band a new boost to pursue their dreams and goals. Several months later, Stoned Pony had a whole new repertoire and gave it's first official show at PONY BARN, an event the four young horsemen organised themselves for the first time on 23 March 2019 and which they plan to do so every year.

Their songs are about topical subjects as well as aspects of everyday life.
