Willem Zack began his musical journey in the belgian punk scene at the age of 15. While playing gigs in the local scene and recording demo’s for his band he discovered a love for music production. In 2016 he started studying music production at the conservatory of Ghent. In his time at the conservatory he refined his sound (and also got a lot softer).

In 2018 he got selected for “De nieuwe lichting” with his solo project.

His style could be described as alternative R&B / lo-fi pop with influences like Frank Ocean, Jon Bellion and Blackbear.

Dilla-style drums, a pop instrumental, and smooth vocals on top.

Willem Zack staat gelijk aan ‘poppy’, dansbare muziek. Met zijn ‘Long Shot’ geeft hij hartzeer een plaats en verovert hij een spot in de selectie van De Nieuwe Lichting.
