We write the year 2008. After a successful career as FOH engineer and having started his own production company, it eventually dawned to Benoît Dobbelstein that he needed above anything to express himself musically as a singer/songwriter.

Soon, the first demos where born. But over the years, his busy production agenda kept him from finalising his own solo work. Until now.

Please welcome The Van Dyckx. Intelligent indie pop/rock with an ounce of wit. Exercises in Poetry. Music that doesn't self-impose the generally known industry boundaries and standarts. Songs that tell stories. Songs about love. About anger. Or the guy from next door. In short: about everything that surrounds us and makes us think and tick. Well, The Van Dyckx at least.
