Independent artist, based in Ghent (BE). When I was 13 I bought myself a second hand guitar and I have been writing songs ever since. I taught myself to play, picked up the bass, fooled around with synthesizers, drum computers and DAW's. The last 4 years I've been performing songs of Johnny Cash with my tribute band The Man in Black Group. Since corona I've started recording my own songs. I guess Johnny Cash is always lurking somewhere in my vocals and lyrics, but my love for singer-songwriters such as Leonard Cohen and artists such as Nick Cave is prominent as well, I think. Some people have compared my voice with those of the singers of Editors and Bastille. Like those bands I enjoy combining guitars and electronics. Also I've always been a great fan of Prince and of Frank Zappa, but my goal is to make mainstream pop music. I write songs about lust, love and passion, about heartbreak and pain, about suffering, about life and death and about the state the world and the planet are in. As corona is cooling down, I will be performing my songs solo in small venues. In time I’d like to put a band together.
