Album THE HUMANS ARE COMING out on Nov. 5, 2026.

After the band went up in smoke, Wouter Vlaminckx (Mechelen) exchanged his electric guitar for his acoustic, and the band for samples. SM4G is now a triphop/indietronica project blending acoustic intimacy with electronic production, built around the interplay of male (Wouter) and female (guests) vocals.

THE HUMANS ARE COMING will be out on Nov 5, 2025, show off Wouter’s love for immersive/cinematic sounds and downtempo beats, with melancholic lyrics on top. It will also include 1 song recorded with the musicians who used to be in the band (Billie the extratempestrial).

Thematically, THE HUMANS ARE COMING is an impression of Wouter's abductions by humans from the future, while acknowledging that remembering is hard, because after each abduction they wiped his memories. The guest singers accompanying Wouter are his sister Veerle Vlaminckx, Leen De Haes (aka Katy Too), and Nicole Declerck of local band NKTR. Additionally, the vocals for ‘Starship MOT’ were already recorded in 2004 in London by the Jamaican singer MC Famous, one of Wouter's neighbours at the time.
