Als toerende violist en student ben ik sinds 2015 zeer actief in Scandinavië. Met mijn band, Raske Drenge (FO/BE) en verschillende projecten in binnen- en buitenland bevind ik mij zowel in de 'Nordic folk music 'scene' als in de 'Global music scene' met meer oog op interculturele muziek projecten en 'community engagement'.

In 2019 studeerde ik af aan Malmö Academy of Music (MHM) in het departement, Folk- en Wereldmuziek. Daarnaast studeerde ik Noorse traditionele muziek aan University of Southeast Norway, Campus Rauland (USN).

Momenteel bevind ik mij in Finland waar ik een 'Master of Global Music' volg aan Uniarts, Sibelius Academy, Helsinki.

Mijn muzikale uitgangspunten en interesses zijn heel uiteenlopend waarbij traditionele muziek uit Scandinavië, UK, Noord-Afrika en Finno-Oegrische / Transsylvanische muziek zéér grote invloeden zijn

Mijn voornaamste band 'Raske Drenge', heeft sterke wortels in Scandinavische en Noord-Atlantische traditionele muziek waarbij we oude Faeröerse 'kvæði'(ballades) combineren met moderne indie folk. In Februari 2022 wonnen we de award voor 'Beste Live Band' op de tweede Flanders Folk Awards!

As a touring violinist and music student, I have been artistically active in Scandinavia since 2015. With my foremost bands, Raske Drenge (FO/BE) and a number of diverse artistic projects within Europe I am active both in the 'Nordic Folk Music Scene' and the 'Global Music Scene' which has more focus on intercultural musical projects and community engagement.

In 2019, I graduated my Bachelor in Folk and World Music at the Malmö Academy of Music (MHM). At that time, I also took an Erasmus exchange to Norway where I studied Norwegian folk music and the Norwegian 'Hardingfele' or Handanger fiddle at the University of Southeast Norway, Campus Rauland (USN).

Currently I am taking a Master degree in Global Music at the Uniarts Sibelius Academy, Helsinki.

My musical starting points and interests consists a variety of different music traditions, of which music from Scandinavia, UK, North Africa and Finnu-Ugric / Transylvanian music are strong influences.
