Born in Amsterdam to A Jamaican dad and Dutch mom, Jonathan moved to Belgium at the age of 4. At the age of 20 (After being fed up with playing basketball for 12 years) he took a backpack and his guitar and left for the east. There he worked in rural farm communities as a volunteer. After four years of pendaling between South east Asia, China and Australia, Jonathan is now based with his wife in Antwerpen. Since then Dries Bongaerts joined Jonathan the seagull.
