In the early hours, after a Bootsy Collins concert @ the Ancienne Belgique, a girl from Brussels meets a guy from Rome, playing the piano in the art deco jazz bar Archiduc. She can’t help singing along. Magic is in the air…

@ home, 16h00, October ’14:

The Brussels girl Ida, shows some songs she wrote to the Italian guy Daniele, who in the mean time moved to Brussels. It took not even 5 seconds to convince him to work together.

Monk, 17h00, March ’15:

Daniele introduced Ida to a freelance bass player Alex. The trio plays the first “Ida” song “What I’ve got” live during an aperitif concert @ the popular bar in the Brussels St Catherine area, Monk. The public likes the taste of it…

DESTUDIO, May ’15:

First meeting between drum wizard Bruno, Daniele and Alex. A bit uncomfortable in the morning, but once they entered the Studio: oh, my… magical vibes!!!

September ’15:

BACKGROUNDS:

Ida Hope (Ineke Van den Zegel): 2 years Jazz conservatory Brussels, singer, composer. Lead vocal experience in several event cover bands, vocals and double bass @ CO.ntradiction.

Daniele Napodano: Pianist, Hammond-player, singer, composer and piano-bar artist. Technical sound engineer, mixing or preparing broadcasting material for the Italian market in collaboration with film majors (Universal, Paramount, Warner, … ).
