Guitars in the front, drums in the back, makes four of us ready to attack!

Since 2011 the hard rocking youngsters of GRUMPF are determined to spread the word of hard rock and heavy metal. Their ultimate goal is to cleanse the world of electronic vibrations with their combination of hard rock and traditional heavy metal in times where bands such as Skid Row, WASP, Ratt and Ugly Kid Joe are almost forgotten or unknown by people under the age of twenty-five.

Injecting rock ‘n’ roll!

In 2012 the band released their first cd ‘Wild, Wet and Willing’, which was a mixture of multiple eighties genres. Although the band wasn’t completely satisfied about all songs, they had created a solid foundation for their music. Mean, raw, pumpin’ hard rock riffs combined with ear piercing vocals and kick ass guitar solos became the band’s trademark. In early 2013 they shared the stage with bands such as Evil Invaders, Vortex, Black Widow and Killer at a concert to revive the famous 80’s Heavy Sound Festival.

Rise up, rock generation!

Later that same year they teamed up with the infamous godfather of the Belgian underground, Bandana Pete of Sideburn Records, in order to infiltrate the scene. It didn’t take long before the band got caught in a hurricane of opportunities. GRUMPF joined 9 other bands on the first edition of ‘Staalhard’, an exclusive vinyl representing the Belgian metal undergroud. As a follow-up they played a show at Trix in Antwerp to promote this vinyl (with various fine and young but relatively unknown Belgian metal bands). They also participated in the Wacken Metal Battle and made it to the national finals. When they thought their year couldn’t get better they had to open up for the legendary Extreme at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.

The band has been busy lately and will soon release ‘Rise Of The Tyrant’, a new EP consisting of 5 new tracks that are more vicious, rude, and melodic than everything they previously released. The hair metal influences got replaced by pure traditional heavy metal accompanied by raw hard rock and the band is ready to kick more ass than ever before!
