Freddie & the Fabs
An Englishman, a Belgian and a Dutchman walk into a bar. "Is this a joke?" they all ask each other. "Yes!" shouts the bartender. Nobody laughs.
Bio
The ancient Greeks believed 3 was the perfect number. The number of harmony, wisdom, understanding...and Freddie & the Fabs, the first band ever with a personal jingle.
Freddie Webber (guitar, vocals), Maarten Iterbeke (bass, vocals) & Lucas Verkuijl (drums, vocals) quickly gained recognition by opening the Rock Op Het Plein festival after winning the preceding rock rally at their first gig ever.
In 2021, the band recorded a 4 track demo with Xavier De Clercq (Noémie Wolfs, Pascal Deweze, etc.) at Poolside Studio in Ghent of which fan favourite 'Not Feeling It' launched them into two music videos, a Youtube mini-series and the 'Clocks Go Back, Fabs Go Forward' tour through Luxemburg, Brussels and Ghent.
With influences ranging from such artists as Theo Katzman to John Martyn over Tom Misch and Red Hot Chili Peppers, each show brings a certain je ne sais quoi to the table.
2022 marked the recording of their debut EP, 'Little Moments', teaming up with Poolside Studio again of which their first single 'Hard of Hearing' is out now!
