Edouard van Praet's Beau Bizarre

Belgian-Canadian UFO Edouard van Praet offers a multidimensional music, on the edges of genres and free of all conventions. He has an insatiable appetite for mixing the beauty and the bizarre in his music, posture and energy.

Now 25 years old and having won several residencies and competitions, including the Dour Festival Contest, Edouard van Praet has already unveiled two EPs:

• "Doors" - released in June 2021, five tracks with a modern twist that swing between the kitch of the Beatles, the folk of Leonard Cohen and the psychedelia of the 60's and 70's.
• "Cycles" - a more personal, more electronic, darker EP released at the end of 2022 and celebrated by a sold-out concert at the Botanique (Brussels).

Edouard learns to link his two lives. Psychological studies (by day) and music (by night). Art through psychosis. What could be more personal but also more universal ? During his live performances, Edouard is inhabited by the characters of his songs. Surrounded by his 4 musicians, he invites us to a real performance, in all its excesses but also in its bewitching breaks. Between controlled clumsiness and strange characters, what stands out is his charisma.
