Bio
In the spring of 2009, Coprophagian Bastard and Vomit Eater, both members of the Antwerp-based three-piece band Anale Bezem, wanted to make the first video for an Anale Bezem song. As in the fall of 2008 they had recorded an EP as 'Copro vs VRV', which featured a song that was very much like the style of 'music' Anale Bezem makes, they decided to make the video for Copro vs VRV. More EPs followed, three in total.
For their fourth EP, recorded in the fall of 2011, they changed their style and started using a drumcomputer in order to create both electronic beats and computer-based drums. They recorded some old songs again and made some new songs, both in English and Dutch, which are not too remotely connected to punk, but also to grindcore. 'ePEE' was to be the fourth EP of Copro vs VRV, but also the first one of Drink My Puke.
But it wasn't until the fall of 2012 that Copro vs VRV, who had by then only played two gigs, one in Geel and one in Sint-Job, changed their name to Drink My Puke, a song on the 'ePEE' EP. They also recorded their second EP, called 'Ass-Kast', which features several covers. Their first performance as 'Drink My Puke' was in Eindhoven.
It wasn't until 2013 that Drink My Puke started playing live much more frequently. Well-known for pimping up old party hits and making crappy but crazy punk and grindcore song about feces and bitches, they have never made a video, as opposed to Anale Bezem or even Copro vs VRV. But who cares. As long as their music is loud and will always find ways to become crappier and worse in quality, I don't see any problem there!
In 2012 their most famous song 'Gemarineerde Kak' was covered by an Antwerp-based band called Scumbagsaurus, whom they invited instantaneously on their own event 'Crapfest' in Merksem.
Throughout the years the band became very popular in at least one venue, called De Non, in Halle-Zoersel, where they played several times. They also performed at the BUT Film Festival in Breda in the summer of 2015.
In 2016 they released 'A Different Generation', their most catchy album so far (and first ever full album), with 20 songs that range from trashy punk (Atomic Pile) to hip-hop (Strontburger), including some covers and a collaboration with dubstep artist Nabil Khazzaka for the song 'Go Fly a Kite'.
For six years Drink My Puke has been trying to win HUMO's Rock Rally. They know that one day they will reach their goal.
