Bio
"Job 15:15: Behold, God puts no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not pure in his sight; how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks injustice like water."
Coldborn in the summer of 2012 and hailing from the H8000 area, Deconsecrate brings a mix of groovy metalcore with Blackened Death metal influences, inspired by All Out War, Kickback, Arkangel, old Morbid Angel & Behemoth.
A First 4 track demo ‘Total Depravity’ was recorded in November 2012 at the Hearse Studio (Leng Tch’e, Amenra, ...) and mastered at New Alliance East (Modern Life is war, Terror, Hessian). The demo was released DIY in january 2013. Shows were played in support of Suffocation, Hatebreed, Extreme Noise Terror, All Out War, Length Of Time, Cephalic Carnage, XRepentanceX, etc. on local shows and festivals like Ieperfest and the Persistance Tour...
Around the same time, Indonesia got interested and asked us to participate on a 3 way split cd, released on Yogyakarta based label Diorama Records and got sold out in no time...
At the end of 2014. Deconsecrate returned to the Hearse Studio to record 8 new tracks. Mastering was done by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Nails, Ringworm, ...). In march 2015, the 8 track full length ‘Nothing is Sacred’ was released through Good Life Recordings on CD/LP. The vinyl is limited to 300 copies and available in 3 colors. The album features guest vocals of John Gallagher (Dying Fetus) and Damien Moyal (Morning Again/Culture/Shai Hulud/As Friends Rust).
After touring the UK, Germany, playing the infamous Ieperfest and supporting bands like Psycroptic, Cryptopsy, God Dethroned, ... we started writing new songs that were released in the summer of 2017 as the 'Resentment' 7 inch by Soaked In Torment from the UK. Later on, after long demand, it got released by Kick Out The Jams on cd, together with the demo songs.
In the winter of the same year, there was a small tour going through France and Spain, followed by tons of shows in Belgium. Along the way, Kevin decided to leave to focus on his own band and got replaced by former Seventh Circle vocalist Thomas.
We got used to the new line up pretty quick by joining the stage with Testament, Nile & Pestilence on Antwerp Metal Fest 2018. A couple of months later, while playing shows all over the country, we started writing on new material. Few shows were played in 2019 to focus on the writing process. At the end of the year we started recording. Most of the songs were finished when the pandemic started. Slow but certain, we finished the record and 'Dark night of the soul' saw the light of day. With the vocal support of local heroes Deformity & Liar and the mastering done by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, USA ( Nails, Obituary, Stranger Things Soundtrack, ... ) this grim piece of musical mayhem fits the signs of the times pretty well.
The world is opening up again. We're ready... Are you?
