Bio
Théophore Kabeya Tama, better known as “Bringhim Backalive” is an Urban Artist with revolutionary lyrics, a voice that speaks to all people, and a mission to bring positivity and hope to the masses through his own musical creations. Born in Congo in 1993 but raised in Belgium, Bringhim started rapping and composing at the age of 9, following in his brother’s footsteps. In 2009, he released his first album, “The Hater Factory” followed shortly thereafter by “The Hater Factory 1.5” mixtape under the name “Bay-B Da Kid.” Called “The Young Belgian Prodigy” since the age of 16, Bringhim was the first of his kind, an Urban Artist out of Belgium, paving the way for future artists to come.
Bringhim is also an upcoming (Live Set) DJ and sound engineer. He’s collaborated with Wiebe “DJ Dysfunkshunal” Hennes (DMC World Champ with Killa Tactics DJ Crew) and other notorious artists till, in 2012, Anthony Dent, grammy-winning producer of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “I’ll Be Missing You” and Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor,” signed him to his label “State of Mind.” His credits include performing at the biggest music festivals in Belgium and being featured as a Resident Host for MTV parties in his country.
Presently, Bringhim is an independent artist, working on an EP to be released in late 2013 and a full-length album for the near future. He’s teaming up with DJ Dysfunkshunal and the Belgian Beatbox Champion Ken “Fatty K” Flamant under the project name “Man vs. Machine” and was recently featured in a nationally televised ad for Samsung. When not in the studio, Bringhim can be found at the gym, on his skateboard, or spending quality time with his family.
