Blue Yser
Introspective soft rock
Bio
Blue Yser is a singer-songwriter born in Brussels, raised in the Ardennes and based in Ghent.
In his pop rock compositions, he combines smooth ballads depicting his sometimes embellished, sometimes cynical vision of humanity with upbeat songs that are textually more engaged.
His influences and inspirations range from the lyric virtuosity of folk singers like Leonard Cohen or Tim Buckley to the dreamy universe of bands such as the Cocteau Twins or Slowdive.
Blue Yser's music originates from disillusions, fear and anger but – first and foremost – takes its energy from hope, love and aspirations. Like a river that flows still for most of its journey, his music sometimes take a tumultuous course.
Blue Yser released his debut EP "At Times, Present" in 2020.
