ARKY STARCH

Arky Starch is a bassist, who produces dub reggae from Belgium, Starch blends old skool roots dub with a modern, immersive sounds.

On stage, Arky delivers heavy, uplifting dub music designed for both sound systems and festival crowds. His performances combine deep basslines, live instrumentation, improvisation, dub effects, and dynamic arrangements that make every show unique. Depending on the event, he performs solo with drum machines and live effects, alongside guest musicians, or with an expanded band featuring brass, percussion, vocalists, and additional instrumentalists.

Inspired by the healing power of reggae and dub, Arky's music creates an atmosphere of connection, freedom, and positive energy. Through echoes, reverbs, live bass, guitar, and the unmistakable sound of the Ampfreqq dub siren, he takes audiences on a journey that is both danceable and deeply immersive.

Available for festivals, clubs, sound system sessions, cultural events, and international collaborations.

Since 2020 he started releasing his music and has built a growing reputation within the reggae and dub scene, collaborating with respected artists including Omar Perry, Samora, Double Tiger, Serocee, David Corleone, Micky B, Dhazed, Zoe Mazah, Razteria, and Dimi Dumo (DUBDORP). His recent achievements include winning the Talent Hunt at Antwerp Reggae Festival 2025 and securing a Winner Play selection at Kortemark Congé 2026.

Currently, Arky Starch is preparing the release of a new single and his forthcoming album, Warrior Without Borders, continuing his mission to unite conscious messages with heavyweight dub production.

One of his recent Mentors along the way was Canadian dub producer Dubmatix, Arky aka Ilyas Schellekens writes, produces, mixes, and masters all of his music independently through his label, Roar Like A Bass.
