A Boy With A Beard is the childhood alter ego of Sherban Vidick disguised as a grown man. He channels his “pop noire” through soundscapes, looking for cracks through which the light gets in. A journey of contrasts, gentle and stormy, calm and tense. A dream of elsewhere portrayed in the hollow of a tune.
Their first album is based on the stage presentation of the project, carried by Sherban, accompanied by Rémy Schwilden and the brothers Fabian and Bastien Hidalgo. For three years, they have been making these songs their own, giving them body and breathing life into them.
Recorded by Aurélien Auchain (June Moan, Mountain Bike), the accent is on live performance and its sometimes rough, sometimes gentle content.
