Since childhood, Walt has been fascinated by the emotional side of music. In his teens, he developed a fondness for electronic music and became interested in the human reaction triggered by drum machines.

Walt's favourite pastime is hanging around record shops, always looking for the forgotten gem. Unbound to any genre, with an eye on an certain emotion and a genuine love for vinyl, he fills his record cabinet. Walt therefore does not think so much in genres, but rather in feelings. Both upbeat, energetic uptempo tracks and dark, heavy and moody songs can be found in Walt’s record collection. His sole aim is for the dancers to be emotionally touched and remember a certain atmosphere.

Walt was selected for the first round of the 45Toeren workshop by VI.BE and the Kiosk Radio Open Desk under the guidance of Lola Haro. Walt already brought his sound to numerous clubs around Ghent such as Funke, Amigo and Bar Broos.
