Every Stranger Looks Like You is a 3 piece grunge/post-hardcore band based in Brakel, Belgium. With a track record consisting of 80 shows, 2 tours, 5 releases, ESLLY definitely is no newcomer to the scene.
Ever since the release of their debut EP, ESLLY have been giving proof of their relentless work ethic. Word of their insanely energetic live performances quickly spread and led them to share the stage with names such as Bass Drum Of Death (US), Listener (US), Break Even (OZ), The Shrine (US), The Cold Harbour (UK) and many more.
“De Morgen”, one of Belgium’s biggest news papers, might have described it best: “(their show is)…a crushing half hour. As filthy as the dishwater in a college bar, as sharp and stinging as a well placed comparison. If this is ‘the shape of punk to come’, I’ll have one punk membership, please.”
By the end of 2014 ESLLY got to open for Code Orange’s sold out show in London, and a few months later they released a split 12” with Mahlstrom, which Idioteq.com described as “…one of the most surprising splits to come out this year, proving a pretty huge evolution of the punk and hardcore genre”.
In 2017 ESLLY are releasing their debut album, “Bluest Shade Of Black” through Dog Knights Productions.
Recorded and mixed at Much Luv Studio and mastered by Carl Saff (Fu Manchu, Drug Church, Touché Amoré,,…), this release will push the boundaries of the genres ESLLY finds itself in, and leave people in awe.
