General 112 (sometimes stylized as G112) was founded during a sweet house party in 1998 when Brad's parents were out of town.

They disbanded briefly to protest the screen writers strike of 2007-2008.

The group made their highly anticipated first live appearance in 2013, at the student cafeteria of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. However, it is rumored they previously played a short acoustic set for a couple of girls (est. 4) in their student dorm.

In 2017 G112 appeared on national Belgian television on the satirical news program “De Ideale Wereld”. The band later confirmed the gig was only made possible due to the fact that one of its members (who prefers to remain anonymous) was being interviewed for a position on the show’s writing staff. He did not get the job.

The band has matured greatly since the early years, and remain convinced that a Pop Punk revival is coming (it's not), and that they are not beating a proverbial dead horse (they are).
