Een periode waar volksmuziek en klassieke muziek elkaar inspireerden op een fascinerende manier. De muziek komt uit handschriften van o.a. De Gruytters (Antwerpen, 1746), De Prins (Leuven, 1781) en Van Belle (Viane, 1743). Verwacht je aan frisse arrangementen op mooie melodieën.

Back to the (seventeen)eighties! WÖR brings new energy in old melodies mainly from 18th century Flanders. A period when folk and classical music inspired each other to produce fascinating instrumental music. The music from the carillon manuscripts from De Gruytters (Antwerp, 1746), De Prins (Leuven, 1781) and Van Belle (Viane, 1743), are the core of their repertoire. Expect some new arrangements on beautiful old tunes.
