Sofie is een klassiek geschoolde zangeres. Ze volgde een muziek- en piano opleiding aan de muziekacademie van Heist o/d Berg. Sinds haar jeugd is Sofie lid van het Jeugdkoor en nadien het volwassenenkoor Sint-Cecilia te Ramsel. Het kinderkoor ‘Kets’ werd door Sofie opgericht, gedirigeerd en begeleid. Tevens is Sofie de zangeres van de A capella zanggroep ‘4tune’ en liefhebster van het ruigere, hardere muziekgenre. Sofie schrijft de zanglijnen en lyrics en is de zangeres/frontvrouw van de groep Dhalya.

Yves is de benjamin van de groep met zijn 6 jaar muzikale ervaring. Zijn gitaar opleiding volgde hij bij Erik De Vries. Yves is de rhythm gitarist en speelt op een Kramer Nightswan gitaar. De stijl waar Yves van houdt is metal en rock en zijn invloeden komen van de bands Hammerfall, Nightwish, Gun's 'n roses, Dire straits en Bad Religion. Dhalya is zijn eerste band.

Ken is de lead en rhythm gitarist en tevens de oprichter van Dhalya. De muzikale invloeden van Ken bevinden zich in de classic heavy metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, Manowar, Queensrÿche), 80s hard rock, power metal (Hammerfall, Primal Fear, Stratovarius), trash metal (Megadeth, Metallica) en symphonic metal (Nightwish, Leaved Eyes). Ken speelt 27 jaar gitaar en was eerst actief in de lokale band Alluminator en na een lange pauze initiatiefnemer om de powermetal band Dhalya op te richten.

Thijs ontmoette Ken tijdens hun studententijd in Leuven. Ken zocht een bassist voor zijn toenmalige band Alluminator. Thijs was eigenlijk gitarist, had in twee heavy metal bands gespeeld, maar hij ging de uitdaging aan. Na het stoppen van deze band was er een tijd radiostilte tot Ken aan Thijs tijdens de Corona pandemie vroeg om naar een paar nummers te luisteren. Voorstel was om daar de bas op in te spelen. Maar voor we het goed doorhadden hadden we een hele band bij elkaar... Thijs luistert voornamelijk naar Thrash-, Death- en Black Metal. Hoe sneller, hoe liever. In Dhalya heeft hij een uniek genre ontdekt waar hij zijn plaats in kan vinden als bassist!

Mark zijn échte passie, dat is de muziek. Hij begon als drummer bij het kerkkoor van Woluwe, maar omdat zijn voorliefde voor trash- en speed metal daar minder in de smaak viel, verkaste hij al snel naar een reeks jonge, opkomende bands zoals Albin en Het Goede van het Gek zijn (Vlaamse muziek), El Fuse (cross-over/metal), Het Beest (Nederlandstalige pop/rock), Adryft (battle metal) en BackSeat (hardrock). Mark vervoegde de groep Dhalya als laatste (en tevens oudste lid) en is de drummer van de band.

Sofie is a classically trained singer. She studied music and piano at the music academy. Since childhood, Sofie has been a member of the youth choir and later the adult choir Sint-Cecilia in Ramsel. Sofie founded, conducted, and accompanied the children's choir "Kets." Sofie is also the lead singer of the a cappella group "4tune" and a fan of the rougher, harder music genre. Sofie writes the vocals and lyrics and is the singer/frontwoman of the group Dhalya.

Yves is the youngest member of the group with six years of musical experience. He studied guitar with Erik De Vries. Yves is the rhythm guitarist and plays a Kramer Nightswan guitar. Yves's preferred style is metal and rock, and his influences come from the bands Hammerfall, Nightwish, Gun's 'n Roses, Dire Straits, and Bad Religion. Dhalya is his first band.

Ken is the lead and rhythm guitarist and founder of Dhalya. His musical influences lie in classic heavy metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, Manowar, Queensrÿche), 80s hard rock, power metal (Hammerfall, Primal Fear, Stratovarius), thrash metal (Megadeth, Metallica), and symphonic metal (Nightwish, Leaved Eyes). Ken has played guitar for 27 years and was initially active in the local band Alluminator. After a long hiatus, he initiated the creation of the power metal band Dhalya.

Thijs met Ken during their student days in Leuven. Ken was looking for a bassist for his then-band Alluminator. Thijs was originally a guitarist and had played in two heavy metal bands, but he took on the challenge. After the band broke up, there was a period of radio silence until, during the coronavirus pandemic, Ken asked Thijs to listen to a few songs. He suggested playing bass on those. But before we knew it, we had a whole band together... Thijs mainly listens to thrash, death, and black metal. The faster, the better. In Dhalya, he's discovered a unique genre where he can truly find his place as a bassist!

Mark's true passion is music. He started out as a drummer in the Woluwe church choir, but because his love of trash and speed metal wasn't quite appreciated there, he quickly moved on to a series of young, up-and-coming bands like Albin and Het Goede van het Gek zijn (Flemish music), El Fuse (crossover/metal), Het Beest (Dutch-language pop/rock), Adryft (battle metal), and BackSeat (hard rock). Mark joined the group Dhalya as the last (and oldest) member and is the band's drummer.
