The Royal Sisters

This vocal trio consists of the jazz singers: Liesbeth Gieben, Lotte Janssen and Anne Den Boer.

In 2015, the threesome got together for the first time to try out one of their first arrangements. After discovering the rich blend of their voices, a great chemistry and shared affection for lyrics, they officially named themselves: The Royal Sisters.

The project performs self-arranged jazz standards, in which the main focus lies with the lyrics. Consequently the gold 'n olden standards get a fresh and playful twist and become very accessible to the audience. This earned them the comment: ''You guys sound like the evil Andrews Sisters!''

All three girls feel the importance and urgency to shape the jazz they love so much, into something of their own. On this mission, they are accompanied by a swinging rhythm section, with often varied nationalities.

After expanding and enriching their repertoire, The Royal Sisters have been playing at venues, like: Bar September (Grote Markt), Murhpy's Law, Paardcafe, Cultureel Centrum Voorschoten, het Diamanttheater, Savanna and several festivals). But now, they aim for bigger stages on which they can present their work. An EP is their next step!
