Terrain Vaag is a collaboration between four musicians from the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussel. Rooted in the heart of the Brussels jazz scene, the group weaves a sonic universe where drum and bass grooves blend with melodies played on the trumpet and vocal.

Drawing inspiration from a wide variety of styles (ECM jazz, groove rock and electro, world music...), their music develops a strong identity and immerses the listener in a distinctive sound: energetic, melancholic, and narrative.

At the crossroads of jazz and progressive rock, this quartet explores sonic textures through electronic effects, creating a hybrid blend. The compositions revolve around the theme of the sea, its deviations and its beauty. One can see a metaphor in the word “sea,” which means “mer” in French and can be likened to the maternal bond.
