Bio

Progressive metal in Belgium, you have to look for it.

Earupt has always dabbled in the genre, but with “Nihilosophy” we can say that the band definitely deserves its place at a (European) prog festival. 'With such a groovy and cool guitar sound, they can stand their ground at other festivals as well.'

They will take you on a surprising journey through musical landscapes, a clever blend of groove metal with alternative and progressive elements fusing into a unique sound. The melodic vocals linger like an earworm, and each song adds a new dimension to the whole. The variation in styles keeps it fresh, while the creative approach to music constantly surprises.

It's hard to pigeonhole us, and for fans of groundbreaking music, this is an absolute must-see. We are sure to leave a lasting impression.

Well, what can we add to this, listen to the music and let it convince you ...

Earupt hails from the deepest woods of the Flemish Ardennes in the East of Flanders in Belgium. They have always had their own vision for their music which resulted in two albums filled with groovy aggressive tunes with an underlying sauce of progressive touches. With “Belief/Relief” (2013 - mixed by Brett Caldas Lima of Tower Studios) and “Elements” (2019 - mixed by multi-talented Lucas De La Rosa) they brought music to the scene that doesn't sound exactly like any other bands are doing.

With “Elements” they got the attention of a Dutch avant garde / prog record label “Layered Reality Productions” that took them on board.

With their new album "Nihilosophy" ( 2023 - mixed by Tom MacLean (ex Haken) and featuring Haken's Charlie Griffiths on the song Phoenix), the gentlemen went one step further what made their compositions now even more mature than ever.

Compared to Nevermore, Prong, Devin Townsend and even a little Pain Of Salvation, Life Of Agony and Channel Zero, their sound is a mix of all those bands, never a copy, resulting in a very recognisable sound that makes your booty move.
